3 Tools a Stylist can't live without
Stephanie Geurkink is a professional stylist and a dear friend of mine who agreed to share some of her secrets with you all. She’s too humble to mention it, but she has worked for brands like Steelcase and Crate&Barrel multiple times. She’s on top of her game and she always has the right tool for everything, so I asked her… What are 3 tools you can’t live without?
Microfibers
“Without a doubt, I need microfibers. They're great for smoothing out velvet upholstery and for ensuring surfaces are free from crumbs and smudges. I keep a cloth tucked in my back pocket at all times.”
Shears
“I also value a reliable pair of sharp utility shears. I have painfully gnawed away at floral stems too many times! You can do a lot simply by having sharp scissors, but the Fiskars Carbon Steel Bypass Pruners are a solid go-to for chomping through thick branches.”
Hand steamer
“For my last tool, I have to pick my hand steamer. I use the Conair Handheld Garment Steamer for styling soft goods like pillows and throw blankets. It's gentle on most materials, unlike a steamer iron, and travels nicely in my kit, unlike a steamer iron.”
Thanks, Stephanie!
